Yesterday the ombudsman of Armenia Armen Harutyunyan said that there have been verbal complaints concerning electoral bribery and hindering works of pre-election headquarters in the election period. In answer to a question concerning the fact that Serzh Sargsyan hasn’t dropped his responsibilities as prime minister during the pre-election campaign Armen Harutyunyan said that this fact can be explained legally from the point of view of jurisprudence, but there are different opinions in the political field. “Neither the EO nor any general studies can obligate the prime minister take a vacation, thus if the law does not obligate, it means that the vice versa is not a law violation. The law concerns state servants, but not political servants, thus it does not concern the PM,” the ombudsman said.
