The Euro Union president, the foreign affairs minister of Slovenia Dmitri Rupel has come up with a speech on the results of his meeting with the Azeri foreign affairs minister Elmar Mamediarov. “We hope that the elections in Armenia and Azerbaijan this year will not affect the process of Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement and will not stop them. We are supporting the parties to settle the conflict peacefully and find solution for that problem as soon as possible. There can’t be even a word about war,” he said. “Armenia and Azerbaijan should understand that the sooner the conflict is settled the more the parties will benefit from it and the more they will develop,” said EU foreign relations official Benita Ferero-Valdner.
