The director of the Politika fund Vyacheslav Nikonov predicts, “The results of all the social polls show that Sargsyan will win the race in the first round. According to the data of the sociologists there will be a 60% support to the incumbent government.” When assessing the chances of Levon Ter-Petrosyan Nikonov mentions, “At present I can see no way how he can justify the expectations of people. He doesn’t have large potential now. Meanwhile he has the leading negative rating.” President of the Corporation of Expertise Creative Center, political scientist Sergey Kurghinyan expressed an opinion that, “Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan remind us of two knights, who got off the gates, raised their swords and intend to win the battle. That is when the war starts I think that the participation of the first president Ter-Petrosyan helps them to have victory in the presidential race. They wish to win and perhaps they will in the first stage. A lot of circumstances promote to their victory.”
