Recently the police intruded into a campaign office of the former president Levon Ter-Petrosyan in the southeastern town of Kapan to forcibly seal it. The police evicted the employees of the campaign office from the office space. According to the former governor of Syunik and the head of Ter-Petrosyan’s campaign in Kapan Roman Navasardyan the apartment owner unexpectedly decided to end the lease agreement despite being paid two-month rent in advance in December. However recently the policemen visited the campaign office with the co-owner of the apartment Manushak Antonyan, who had claimed that the agreement was made with her husband Lyova Antonyan and that she was against giving the apartment for rent. According to her they didn’t know that their apartment was going to be turned into a campaign office. The landlords were willing to give the money back to the tenants. Despite the fact that the landowners agreed to give two days to the tenants to find another apartment the police urged the tenants to leave the apartment within 2 hours. The campaign office will continue functioning in a tent in Kapan. By the way, on January 29 the police spread an announcement that on January 25 a resident of Kapan applied to the police station of Syunik marz and informed that a group of people have occupied his apartment located on Shahumyan 2 St, 38 apt. in Kapan without the owners consent and ad established a campaign office. The citizens asked the police to help him to resume his property rights. On January 28 an argument stroke between A. and the group of people, who had occupied the apartment. The police visited the scene to prevent the scuffle. Afterward the people present at the campaign office were asked out.
