Fighting corruption fighting

While the presidential candidates are speaking about the necessity to fight corruption yesterday the government made a decision on fighting against the fight against corruption. Specifically, according to the amendment to the law on state registration of ownership right, henceforth the state cadastre department can provide information about property owners only if the written consent of the owner or a corresponding power of attorney is available. Before this decision one could submit an application and pay corresponding sum and get such information concerning any property owner. For instance, Mass Media representatives could easily get information about the properties of state officials and other persons. Now such information can be obtained only if a written permission by the owner is available. They can also write in the text of their document that “all what they have they have earned with their fair work and efforts”.
