Miclos Harashti, who is in charge of OSCE media independence issues, has expressed his concerns about the fact that Gala TV company of Gyumri may be closed down under the pressure of the authorities. He is also concerned about the fact that the editorial office of “Chorrord Ishkhanutyun” opposition newspaper has been exploded. “The recent violations and assaults against independent and opposition media are supporting the environment of fear within the Armenian media,” writes his letter addressed to RA foreign affairs minister Vardan Oskanyan. “I believe that the authorities will not make imprudent decisions and will perform a will to find a compromise solution,” writes Harashti’s letter.
