Yesterday the commission in charge of releasing prisoners untimely held a close meeting, during which they refused the petition of “prisoners’ hospital” to release the chief editor of Time Yerevan newspaper Arman Babajanyan from custody. The discussion was held with participation of the commission’s six member (two members were not present). The head of the commission, deputy head of the RA police Armen Eritsyan and the deputy prime minister of health care did not take part in the discussion. 4 members were against the untimely release of Babajanyan, and two members were for it. This issue can be submitted to the commission for consideration again only in three months.
