We will decide together

To the questions of the reporters whether Armenia will follow the example of Russia and pull out of Conventional Forces in Europe (CFE) treaty, the RA Defense Minister Michael Harutyunyan yesterday said at the National Assembly, “It is up to every country to decide whether they are pulling out from the treaty or not. The Republic of Armenia has made no such decision yet. But if Azerbaijan does not stop buying and bringing in large quantities of weapons in contravention of that treaty, Armenia could make such a decision. But this decision must be made by the President of the country. Russia is our partner and we are going to cooperate with it and all the other member states of the treaty.” When speaking of NKR conflict Harutyunyan said, “We must decide the fate of Karabakh together (with Azerbaijan), around one table and not through a war. It is not the war that will settle Karabakh issue. It is better that there is no such war and we settle the issue around table of talks,” the minister said.”
