Armenia has acquired A-319 airbus aircraft to use for official purposes instead of the old Tu-134 aircraft, which was made in 1977. The aircraft will be used for the needs of the president, as well as for official visits of high rank officials and delegations to foreign countries. The A-319 aircraft has been purchased in one of the Eastern aviation markets. The transaction price amounts $45 million. 15 million out of the mentioned sum has already been paid by Armenian businessmen, who don’t want to discover their names. The other sum will be paid based on a credit during ten years. The service of the aircraft will be maintained by “Armavia” company.
