Self-destruction

Recently presidential candidate, ADU leader Vazgen Manukyan said that, for example, he made a team with Arshak Sadoyan and said that he wanted to know about the teams of the other candidates too.

We don’t know whether Mr. Manukyan has got the answers to his questions, but yesterday journalists had an opportunity to ask questions to the political team partner of Vazgen Manukyan, i.e. Arshak Sadoyan, who was hosted at “Tesaket” club. The journalists and the leader of a party, which name is “National Revival” and which still exists, Albert Bazeyan were waiting for Manukyan’s team to arrive for some time. However, the political team had stuck in a traffic congestion and was being late. However, there are no problems for such “team”, which is experienced in working such congestions out and reaching his destination, thus he could arrive in 20 minutes. After such brilliant victory in the traffic congestion the political team made an announcement and petitioned Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Artashes Geghamyan and the other candidates for presidency to support Vazgen Manukyan. Furthermore, he called on everyone to join in favor of preventing electoral violations. Sadoyan petitioned them not to join for the purpose of backing Manukyan, but for the purpose of ensuring that the elections are not violated. However, he didn’t propose any specific suggestions how that goal could be reached. “Dear Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Artashes Geghamyan, others, if you really want to be a tool for making the future of this country good, and as we want the same too, let us, dear tools, use you to organize as fair and transparent elections in Armenia as possible. Let us create groups in all 1923 precincts of Armenia, which will consist of all political powers that are interesting in fair elections, to control the electoral processes,” petitioned Arshak Sadoyan. It turns out that the reason why the “team” of Vazgen Manukyan has not initiated any steps to organize fair elections is the fact that some candidates for presidency have not allowed him. We hope that they will allow after this petition. Yesterday Arshak Sadoyan spoke one of his favorite ideas, which is neither his slogans about tough guys nor about mazut. He called on those institutions to provide one hour air on TVs for opposition candidates each day. Mr. Sadoyan suggested to call that program as “People’s hour”. While Condoleezza Rice will think about Sadoyan’s suggestion, let’s discuss what Albert Bazeyan said. These days he will be very busy with some issues inside their party. Probably his party will hold a summit on December 5 and will declare about liquidation and they will join with the “Armenian Democratic Liberal Party” (ADRP). Samvel Babayan’s Dashink party will do the same too. However, Bazeyan did not say the name of the candidate they are going to back. He said that they were going to support the candidate, which will be supported by the majority of the ADRP. The new ADRP will hold a general meeting in January. There are different rumors about the mentioned potential candidate, but Bazeyan does not hide his positive attitude towards Vazgen Manukyan, and Samvel Babayan has made “transparent hints” concerning Serzh Sargsyan. Bazeyan said that it was possible that they might support the first president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, however his further statements make it clear that hardly it can happen. Bazeyan says that he does not agree with the first president’s views concerning Karabakh and he likes the view of Vazgen Manukyan concerning the same issue more. Definitely Mr. Bazeyan knows about the mentioned view well.
