“As ARF has been against the policy advocated by Levon Ter-Petrosyan, as ARF advocated another policy that drastically differed from the one advocated by Ter-Petrosyan in 1998 and 2003, as Levon Ter-Petrosyan is running, in fact, within the limits of the same policy, ARF cannot support his candidacy either for one year or one week,” yesterday said ARF board spokesman Spartak Seyranyan to our newspaper in answer to a question concerning Ter-Petrosyan’s petition to support his candidacy. In answer to the question whether he didn’t accept Ter-Petrosyan’s initiative to clean up the “Augean stables” Mr. Seyranyan said, “I am quite suspicious that Ter-Petrosyan is coming to clean up the Augean stables”. Answering to the question why he wants to return Mr. Seyranyan said, “He wants to become president”. As for “New Times” party, they are sure that Ter-Petrosyan will back Aram Karapetyan at the end of the pre-election campaign.
