Businessman Hrant Vardanyan has announced that he will back PM Serzh Sargsyan during the upcoming presidential elections. Mr. Vardanyan explained his decision by the “hard working skills” the prime minister has. He also has approved the rumors that the taxation services are inspecting “Grand Tobacco”, “Grand Candy” and “another commercial enterprise” owned by their family. However, Vardanyan says that no violations have been found. “I am the fifth largest taxpayer of this country. Thus, there cannot be many violations. If there were, I would be the 50th or 150th taxpayer”. Answering to a question whether the ARF will not take it wrong if he supports Serzh Sargsyan during the elections in consideration of the fact that his two sons have been members of the ARF faction H. Vardanyan said, “Never. I think that the ARF members understand it well too that we should support a candidate, who is able to carry that heavy load”.
