Five years ago Robert Kocharyan stated in the ceremony of launching of the Northern Avenue project that he would be trying his best for the opposition to come together. Yesterday during the opening of Northern Avenue the reporters reminded him of his promise and asked what has changed over this period to make President Kocharyan change his mind. Robert Kocharyan could not remember what he had said five years ago but he said he only had wished the opposition would come together, and now he would not mind the opposition to come together. “I only tried to analyze what uniting means, what the principles are. Minor patters of unification are possible among those political forces which have points in common. It will be a regular thing but neither the opposition nor the government can be united.” In this connection Robert Kocharyan said the coalition now includes forces whose platforms resemble.
