Several days ago the President of the ANM Board Ararat Zurabyan expressed willingness to hold a TV debate with the representatives of the RPA and in particular between Serzh Sargsyan and Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Is the RPA ready for such a debate? As a response to this question NA Republican MP Armen Ashotyan said to our reporter, "Indeed there will be various debates among presidential candidates and their campaign representatives during the official campaign. The attempt of doing it now will mean to exploit the evidently high rating of Serzh Sargsyan on behalf of other candidates. It’s obvious that any opponent, who will be debating with Sargsyan will appear in a very high position because he will carry the consequences of the high rating of Sargsyan. This means that the actual context of the suggestion is the following: Mr. Sargsyan, your rating is very high. Let us have some of it as well. I don’t think it is the job of Sargsyan or RPA members to accept such suggestions at the moment when the campaign hasn’t started yet."
