When asked about the mysterious disappearance of a high-profile criminal case against Karabakh Committee of 1988 from the archives of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office Samson Ghazaryan, a former member of the Karabakh Committee told the RFE/RL, “If the Prosecutor’s Office cannot establish control even over the things happening within its system, if a prosecutor can be shot dead in his office and a criminal case can disappear, how can they possibly organize proper oversight of criminal cases involving citizens?” Another member of the Karabakh Committee, Babken Ararktsyan expressed an opinion that the disappearance of the criminal case is only a part of a consistent chin and that time will how the government is going to use this fact. One thing is clear for sure. It would be impossible to remove a 50-volume criminal against from the Prosecutor’s Office without being noticed. In this regard there is no need to be surprised when one day they announce that the case of "October 27" has disappeared from the Prosecutor’s Office.
