Yesterday the National Assembly in a closed voting elected NA Vice Speaker, Prosperous Armenia Faction member Ishkhan Zakaryan Head of the Audit Chamber in the result of 104 “for”, 5 “against” and 0 “abstainers” votes. Let’s remind that it is the constitutional right of President Kocharyan to nominate his candidate to the NA for the voting for this position. In the coming future the vacant position of the Vice Speaker of the Parliament will be occupied by the same faction member, Arevik Petrosyan. Let’s remind that the head of the Prosperous Armenia faction Gagik Tsarukyan has stated that “if there was a more worthy man in the faction he wouldn’t nominate Petrosyan’s candidature”.
