Yesterday the drivers of “Autobus” CJSC Charbakh and Jrvezh branches organized a strike. According to the drivers, the reason is that their directors have told them that “Autobus” JSC will be privatized and they will have to stop driving buses for some time. We asked the drivers who were going to privatize the company, but they refused to say any names and just said that they were MPs and businessmen. When our reporter visited the place of incident in Jrvezh, there were policemen there and, what is more surprising, there were skinheads there too who gave orders to the policemen (see the picture). The drivers got very angry and moved to the government building and requested a meeting with the prime minister. The prime minister met with the drivers and told them that the buses did not belong to anyone to manage as they liked and that the buses were owned by the state and were given under lease. He also said that the government had not made any decision on privatizing that company. S. Sargsyan told the drivers to ask for documents from those people who had told them such things so that they didn’t get wrong information. The prime minister assured that the drivers would continue working according to the requirements of the labor code and their working conditions would not become worse.
