To close or to baffle?

If the existing authorities were clever, they would raise the existing limitations on TV and radio companies just now and would let them organize discussions before the presidential elections. It is not dangerous, it is helpful for them.

There is nothing dangerous since many oppositionists will not start criticizing the existing authorities, but they will use the opportunity and will criticize the former “criminal” authorities despite the fact that the previous “criminal” president has not made a final decision concerning running.

If he decides to run, the maintained campaign will last till the latest day of that period, i.e. the day in February, which is set as the end of the first phase presidential elections.

Otherwise, if the former president makes a decision not to run, they will discuss that fact for several days, will change their strategies and will start a process supporting the reproduction of the existing authorities, which will finish on February eighteen too.

In consideration of the huge number of potential oppositionists, it is supposed that they will harshly criticize each other than their opponents “de facto”.

Besides that, the opposition representatives, who are going to back Levon Ter-Petrosyan are not dangerous either. Some of them will make pathetic, the others careful speeches, which will seem worse than the reportages of Tatevik Nalbandyan, each word of which increased the number of Ter-Petrosyan’s supporters.

In addition, the significant differences between the words of the supporters and opponents should be taken into account too. For instance, Shavarsh Kocharyan is more eloquent than Stepan Demirchyan. Arshak Sadoyan can speak more expressively than Aram Z. Sargsyan, who has started to speak expressively too. He does it better than Aram G. Sargsyan, who seems to be better than Petros Makeyan.

The intellect does not matter. Maybe Demirchyan, Aram Z. sargsyan and Makeyan are better with their intellect than Shavarsh, Arshak and Aram G. Sargsyan. The most important thing here is the content. The first ones will try to analyze things and prove their points, and the other ones will try to make empty statements like they have done so far, and as you know empty statements are accepted easier.

For instance, the legend of energy earthing was spread easily. Arshak Sadoyan used to stay near his microphone and cry “the energy has been earthed…” As for people, they accepted such statements as established facts. In order to prove the vice versa you need concrete figures; you have to explain the situation, cite facts and refer to sciences, which is not acceptable by many people.

As I have spoken about intellect, I think it is worth mentioning that in this light the existing authorities should not be afraid of anything. They can let Marxist David Hakobyan make statements on TV for several times a week, whose statements such as “the Karabakhi Vikings” are making the existing authorities more favorable.

Also boxer Israel Hakobkokhyan, the oldest MP, and, if I am not mistake, lawyer Rafik Petrosyan can contribute their intellects too, who thinks that the Russian army was established seventy years ago (maybe before that they were occupied in gardening) (please see the interview of R. Petrosyan in the edition of 02.10 of “Time Yerevan” newspaper).

As you see, there is nothing dangerous. The only dangerous thing is allowing Ter-Petrosyan to speak on air, but it is not so dangerous as it seems to the existing authorities. They can baffle any logical approach by crying “hurrah” or “get off…”

P.S. If my point is not acceptable, they can at least open the TV and radio companies to do a favor for Aharon Adibekyan since that sociologist has been conducting social polls to find more attributes of deputies other than their pens or watches among the groups of citizens, who are not aware of anything. Only their shoes have remained.
