Last week in one of the British magazines named “Observer” British engineer Bruce Tasker, who has worked in Armenia since 2003, requested to investigate the corruption and abuse allowed during the realization of 35 million USD project provided by the WB, which was aimed at reforming the water provision system in Yerevan. As a response to that the country director of the WB Armenian branch, Aristomene Varudakis announced that the project was successfully implemented and that no cases of corruption or abuse had been registered. However, yesterday when talking to our reporter Tasker confirmed his accusations and even presented some more facts of corruption during the realization of the mentioned project. Also, his facts relate not only to the WB Office in Yerevan but also a number of state institutions of Armenia.
