Notwithstanding a number of predictions that ARF will not nominate a candidate for president, yesterday the general meeting of ARF made a decision in Karabakh that “during the presidential elections the ARF will make a choice between Vahan Hovhannisyan and Armen Rustamyan to nominate for president.” “ARF will elect a candidate for president during a special general meeting to be held in November.” Thus, during these coming two months Vahan Hovhannisyan and Armen Rustamyan will be actively campaigning, criticizing each other among their party members and, why not, they may even distribute electoral bribe. This fact is to prove that it is a show on the part of ARF demonstrated on the threshold of the presidential elections. In such cases the more people follow the processes, the more interesting the demonstration is. Accordingly, it is not by chance that ARF attached a big poster on the wall of the culture house of Stepanakert, where they held the meeting, and that poster wrote “Our old friend is the president of the country.” It is clear whom the ARF meant to be the president. They didn’t mean their friends Vahan Hovhannisyan and Armen Rustamyan for sure.
