Two companies have submitted applications for the management of “Armenian Railways”, which are “Russian Railways” and “Rites”, an Indian company. The name of the winner will be announced on October 15. The precondition for the company’s management is investing $120mln during ten years. It is clear that there will not be a third company applying for this tender despite the fact that the competition is open and complies with the international standards. It is interesting that before announcing the tender Kazakhstan was highly interested in the “Armenian Railways”.
