By the order of president Robert Kocharyan an interdepartmental commission has been founded for the purpose of increasing the tax collection level through collecting tax payments to be transferred to the state budget and saving overpayments, taxing the shady circulation in import and sale of products, which will be led by the head of the state tax inspection of the government, Vahram Barseghyan. The commission has also members representing the President’s office, the state customs committee, Police, NSS and Public General Prosecutor’s office.
Yesterday the president told the commission members that the level of tax incomes in GDP should be at a high level as in civil countries. According to president Kocharyan, the commission should show with its activity that “there are no people and fields with personal immunity, no one can serve umbrella for businesses and everything should be done according to the law”. According to the press statement of the president’s office, Robert Kocharyan has said that today there are such appearances, which cannot exist without the support of state institutions. “Those who are backing the others to break the law should be discovered and punished in the manner established by the law,” highlighted Kocharyan. In fact, this commission is going to have the functions of the supervisory commission with super-liabilities, which has been discussed during the recent months.
