Yesterday the head of the ARF faction, Hrayr Karapetyan said the following concerning Arzumanyan’s remission: “Thanks to God! The mistake was corrected.” “Certainly the criminal case is in process. I think that if he has made a crime, he will be punished. However, it wasn’t enough for arresting him. I don’t think he would escape from Armenia,” said H. Karapetyan. Concerning the bill proposed by Raffi Hovhannisyan for the purpose of recognizing the independence of Karabakh the MP said that they were against that bill since they wanted Karabakh to join Armenia. “Karabakh is a part of Armenia. The fact that we are presenting Karabakh as an independent country is already a compromise on our part from the strategic view. If tomorrow the Minsk Group becomes incapable to do anything we should not only propose a bill to recognize the independence of Karabakh, but also to join it with Armenia,” said H. Karapetyan.
