Gas supply to start on September 22

Yesterday the executive managing director of Iranian “Gasexport” public company Nastrola Seifi announced that Iran will start supplying gas to Armenia starting from September 22. He has told “MehrNews” agency that “according to the recent negotiations with Armenia, Armenia is ready to import gas”. The Iranian and Armenian presidents have opened the first part of the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline this year. According to the first phase program it is planned to import 400 million cubic meters of gas each year to Armenia. When the pipeline is fully ready (141 kilometers), the gas supply capacities will grow up to 3,2 billion cubic meters.
