While a number of opposition parties are busy with negotiating in cafes on “finding a joint candidate”, some others are nominating themselves, others are trying to predict whether Levon Ter-Petrosyan will return to active politics or not, and some other political powers, which consider themselves opposition are trying to get a status of “pro-Russian” political powers. According to our information, it is several months that former defense minister of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan, the leader of Democratic party Aram G. Sargsyan, the head of “Fatherland and Honor” party Garnik Margaryan and Haik Babukhanyan are conducting negotiations. The topic of their discussions is nominating Vagharshak Harutyunyan for president during the upcoming elections. According to our information, the format of cooperation between these politicians, who have appeared in the focus of the political line in the current period cannot be by chance since they are known with their personal contacts with certain Russian military officials in Armenia, thus it is not excluded that this political “project” is planned by those groups of persons being outside of Armenia.
