Today is the 17th anniversary of the Independence Declaration of RA. In fact the ground of the independence of Armenia was set with that very declaration. The declaration itself set all the principles, which Armenia follows till now or which got enacted in the Constitution later. However, surprisingly the government hasn’t held any event to celebrate this anniversary. The government is busy with more serious stuff, which is preparing fro the coming new elections. Perhaps there is another reason. The current government hasn’t yet “tuned” the Independence Declaration. Therefore they may even not celebrate its anniversary. But we nevertheless, congratulate our readers because independence is our holiday.
