Today presidential elections are taking place in Karabakh. Despite the fact that the international organizations are claiming that they are not going to recognize these elections in NKR, we all know that they are all expecting to see if the elections conform to democratic standards or not. Perhaps that is the reason numerous international monitors have visited Karabakh to follow the process themselves. Of course the evaluation of the international organizations is important, but the most important thing is the actual state of democracy in Karabakh. In Armenia, we had bad elections, but the international opinion was positive, although we’d have liked the exact opposite. We hope the opposite is what happens in Karabakh.
