New tax chief appointed

21/07/2007

By the RA president’s order issued yesterday, the head of the RA government taxation services, Felix Tsolakyan, was dismissed from his position. Vahram Barseghyan, who had been working as the head of the president’s control department before that, was appointed in that position. By another order, Tsolakyan was appointed as an adviser to the president. To note, recently it was much discussed that Barseghyan might be appointed to a high position in the financial field. Thus, Kocharyan wanted to appoint him as the head of a very strong control institution, which was soon to be founded, however, this didn’t happen, definitely due to the pressure of the other governmental branch, thus Mr. Barseghyan was given a more "modest" position. To note, Barseghyan started his career in “Baze”.
