How audacious?

“You know I get surprised by the level of the audacity of people who say that I will put forth my own nomination while I’m alive. This is the peak of audacity. They say that they can make a better president than a person who’s brought self-determination to this nation and independence through a national movement. I’m also the person who taught them what the words “democracy” and “self-determination” mean. I am not saying I am going to be nominated. But it’s like a situation when the son would tell his dad that he can better manage the family,” stated Paruyr Hayrikyan, leader of the National Self-Determination Union. Perhaps he meant his former revolutionary friend Vazgen Manukyan, because the latter clearly announced that he’s going to run for president. Of course Hayrikyan has also spoken separately about Manukyan. “If Manukyan is saying we must have victory through a joint team, it means that he has progressed a lot, because in past he was saying that he’s going to do everything on his own. But he doesn’t have any grounds to speak about a joint front because the most devastating step during the last Parliamentary elections was made by him and Raffi Hovhannisian,” said Hayrikyan.
