On July 14, Lusine Ghevondyan and Arthur Hovhannisyan were arrested and charged with helping organize the murder of Sedrak Zatikyan, son of former district head of the Malatia-Sebastia district, Vahan Zatikyan. The two are now being investigated. This is what was stated in the announcement dispersed by the Prosecutor General’s office Monday. Let us recall that the main perpetrator of the murder of Zatikyan, Arsen Arushanyan, had been arrested on June 30, and Arushanyan’s accomplices were arrested last Saturday. According to our sources, National Assembly deputy Hakob Hakobyan’s nephew, Stepan Hakobyan, and his friend, Narek Khachatryan, are still under investigation. Let us recall that on April 1, 2004 the Zatikyan brothers had beaten and struck Khachatryan and Hakobyan’s son, Vardan Hakobyan, with a weapon.
