“Perhaps it was important for Karabakh to have the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moscow come and give a press conference under the flag of Nagorno-Karabakh, meet with the existing president of Karabakh, and with that somehow show that Azerbaijan accepts the existence of the legitimate power in Nagorno-Karabakh. That was not support for the existing president of Karabakh, rather support for the state administration system of Karabakh,” Nagorno-Karabakh presidential adviser Arman Melikyan announced regarding the visit of Armenian and Azeri intelligentsia to Nagorno-Karabakh, organized by the Armenian and Azeri ambassadors in Russia. He added, “After all, for us the main goal is not to make Azerbaijan always lose. Azerbaijan is in a ridiculous situation and is using any occasion to show that they tried to win and beat the Armenians in this or that event, be it soccer or a cooking contest. That is, of course, the complex of the loser, which they have to overcome, and we must do all that we can to have them overcome that.”
