No guarantees

“Do you guarantee that after the adoption of this law, “Liberty” radio station will not be closed?” Answering to this question asked by a correspondent of “Liberty” radio station, NA speaker Tigran Torosyan said, “I can give guarantees only concerning issues that are under my authority. I can only guarantee one thing; no one will have legal grounds to close “Liberty” radio station based on this law (if it is adopted). I am sure about this, and even if someone tries to do such a thing after the adoption of that law, you can easily file a case in court concerning that matter. If the NA had the authority to close radio stations, I would give guarantees. Accordingly, I cannot give guarantees for the actions of others, as I am not the decision maker; also the law is not grounds for such decisions and cannot be.”
