By the decision of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Armenia, parallel to the first phase of the program “Update of the Health Sector” which will launch in June, the second phase will last until 2012. The Central Bank of Armenia will allocate a 22 million-dollar loan to Armenia with the purpose of carrying out the extensive work in the health sector, of which 7 million will be co-financed by the government and the clinics of the districts. During the second phase of the project, each Marz will have high-powered health care institutions equipped with ultramodern medical equipments and trained professionals. The selection must be made from the medical clinics where population growth is recorded. Currently, a serious study is being conducted in the Marzes.
