Filing claim in Constitutional Court jointly

31/05/2007

The opposition powers are going to file a claim in the Constitutional Court, but this time they are going to act together, not separately. They are going to apply jointly, as they think the foreseen ten-day period will be enough to investigate a case properly. All parties that found violations during the elections are going to attach their findings to the same claim. It is not clear yet which party will take the initiative to apply to the Constitutional Court. According to the law concerning the Constitutional Court, claims shall be filed to the CC seven days following the day of declaring the results; i.e. the CC has a right to accept claims only on May 26. The opposition powers are collecting the protocols containing violations from all precincts to attach to the claim.
