Yesterday prime minister Serge Sargsyan announced his intention to run for president during the upcoming presidential elections of 2008. “I think that the parliamentary elections prove that our party is advocated by the constituency, and if the party decides to nominate me, I will run for president,” he said, and meanwhile excluded the possibility of presidential elections sooner than scheduled.
