The People’s Party of Armenia still hasn’t decided whether or not it is going to participate in the 2008 presidential elections.
“Now is not the time for that,” said leader of the People’s Party of Armenia, Stepan Demirchyan, during a press conference on Monday. He said that concerning public meetings, they shouldn’t be held just for the sake of holding them, but should have a purpose. In response to the question as to how he evaluates the fact that not only the parties excluded from parliament, but also others such as “Prosperous Armenia”, “Country of Law”, and ARF are complaining about the elections, Demirchyan said:
“What are they complaining about? Everyone knows which parties distributed electoral bribes. The ones who distributed should keep quiet.”
