“When you are wearing an army uniform, say who gave it to you. When you are speaking about victory, say who the general commander was and also say the names of all the people that were standing with you and helping you gain that victory, not depending on their ideological orientation,” ANM board member Hovhannes Igityan said yesterday during a press conference. To Robert Kocharyan and Serge Sargsyan, he had this to say: “You shouldn’t remove one’s name from history only for the fact that he or she is your ideological opponent. We should always remember and respect the general commander that did all these things. One of these people is Alik Arzumanyan, due to whom a document was signed in 1993 stating that the military action during the war in Karabakh was organized by local forces (this means that Armenia is not recognized as the aggressor). This is the document that the existing authorities are using to prove that Armenia is not an occupant or aggressor, that it was a liberation struggle on the part of Karabakh. You should not be so foolish and stupid to not use that strong tool that was established and given to you by Arzumanyan.”
