“During each new election, the Armenian Republican Party is going to try to maintain the seats it had in the previous parliament and increase the number of seats as much as possible,” said speaker of the National Assembly and deputy leader of the ARP, Tigran Torosyan. Torosyan said that the strategy of the ARP is aimed at receiving the maximum amount of votes during the elections.
“The majority of the 27 candidates in the majority electoral system will be successful.”
With respect to the publication of the conversation between leader of the “Country of Law” party Arthur Baghdasaryan and the deputy ambassador of Great Britain, the National Assembly speaker mentioned that illegal secret recordings are illegal, but that fact does not make what was said acceptable.
“I find such an attitude towards the country highly unacceptable,” said Torosyan.
