The subsequent rally of the “Impeachment” alliance took place on Friday at Freedom Square with nearly 100,000 participants, with leader of the “New Times” political party Aram Karapeytan among them. Shortly after the public meeting in the Kanaker-Zeytun district, leader of the “Republic” party Aram Z. Sargsyan joined “Impeachment” as well. According to “A1plus”, all the oppositionists went up on stage at the end of the meeting, and afterwards the participants of the meeting marched through Tumanyan and Abovyan streets to Republic Square. On the way there, people were handed whistles with which they “whistled to the authorities” and with that they were demanding sacking the authorities. Both streets were closed during the march. The participants were walking on the streets with “Impeachment” calendars raised above their heads, while policemen and passers-by were walking on the sidewalks. The next public meeting will take place on May 3, once again at Freedom Square.
