Yesterday a group of Armenian pop stars suddenly announced their support to the governing Republican Party. Shushan Petrosyan, Aramo, Suzan Margaryan, Sirusho, Zaruhi Babayan, Arame, Arsen, Arminka, Alla Levonyan and some others said they will be touring across the country to sing for voters and urge them to vote for the Republican Party. Announcing their support at a news conference, the singers explained they agreed to back the party because they share its ideology. "The Republican Party is our friend and it has always been by our side, helping many singers organize their concerts," Shushan Petrosyan said. Suzan Margaryan also praised the party for its support to Armenian pop stars, saying now the time has come for them to pay back. “We believe that the RPA will be devoted to its slogan – For you Armenia,” said Margaryan. It’s interesting to know where all the other pop singers are – Hayko, Andre, Emmi, etc. It’s hard to believe that they are not going to participate in the campaign. Perhaps they are in the campaign team of “Prosperous Armenia”. If we listen carefully, we can notice that many of Prosperous Armenia’s campaign songs are sung by the Republicanized singers.
