The International Press Institute of Vienna has stated that 2006 “was the most savage and brutal year for journalists”. According to “Radio Liberty”, the report also states that more than 100 journalists around the world were killed last year. The most dangerous country for journalists was Iraq, which saw 46 journalists killed.
