Armenian Prime Minister Serge Sargysan has promised the villagers of the Aragatsotn Marz that from now on their subsidies are not going to be given to the elite of the Marzes, districts or villages, rather the rural economies. Sargsyan said what the World Trade Organization has been mandating the Armenian government to do. The government must subsidize the rural economies. Soon the government will also be obligated to fix a buoyant value-added tax up to 6% for the taxation of agricultural products.
