The RA commission on regulating public services discussed the issue of fulfillment of the responsibilities of License 60 on the part of the “Armentel” company. The commission has extended the deadline for renovating 70,000 analogue lines in the provinces up to December 31, 2007. The commission has agreed with the company’s recommendation to install necessary technical facilities by the end of 2008 to enable the subscribers of analogue lines to make international and toll calls automatically. “Armentel” has taken the responsibility to make the telephone lines digital not only in 800, but in an additional 10 village communities by June 30, 2007, and within 15 days present a statement on the works to the commission and as well prepare reports once every three months. The commission informs that the failure of fulfilling these responsibilities is a (mere) violation of the license.
