Says non-party candidate of #19 district, former commander of the 4th corps of military forces of Armenia, General Seyran Saroyan.
– Hakob Hakobyan said that the shots that were made in the direction of his car on Saturday were organized by you. Meanwhile he said that you are pretending to be “dumb” by showing that you are innocent. What can you say in this regard?
– What can I say? Only a person who doesn’t have any level of intellect can say such things. There are laws, there are police, let them prove I’m guilty. If he treats a RA general this way, then I have nothing to add. I’m a person who’s brought many victories to Armenians. Every person is guilty and responsible for his own deeds and brains.
– What grounds to you have to state that he organized the shots himself to blame you later?
– I say that because nobody else would shoot at his car. There is no logic saying that we could have organized those shots. Even today’s (yesterday’s) court trial showed who’s right and who’s wrong. Let Hakobyan go and find out among his relatives who could have organized such things. Can you explain to me what my motives were to shoot at his car? Or, who’s the other candidate, Susanna Harutyunyan? Why would I go burn her headquarters?
– Hakobyan says that you have made one of his supporters retract his signature and that you have kidnapped him and kept him in your house as a “hostage”.
– These people were in court today. Let him not say senseless things. Let him say whatever he wants. I’m not going to say anything about him because everybody knows who he is and what he’s capable of.
– Hakobyan is offering you to be on a TV debate with him. He said that he’s ready to sign a document by which if you gather 21% votes he will quit his mandate and yield to you. What can you say about that?
– Before debating with me he needs to go back to his past and check who he was and who he is. Also he needs to figure out what he has done to our country. Even if he thinks about it, it makes him a low-level person. If he tells me that he’s done at least 1% positive for our country I’ll debate with him.
– What’s the environment like in Echmiadzin? They say it’s pretty tense.
– Where? Here? There is nothing like that. It’s just him (Hakobyan), who gathered people around him by bribing them, and then weeps about his own deeds. He doesn’t even have anyone to support him. He was thinking that it’s all about money in this world. He has offended his closest friends. That’s the reason he doesn’t have anyone on his side now. Why does he blame others after all? Fifteen out of 50 signatures are false. His relatives told me that there are many fake signatures in his list. Let him go back to his relatives and find out who’s done all this to him. Let him not blame others for things they haven’t done.
