On April 8 the Central Election Commission confirmed the duration and sequence of the paid and free Public Television/Radio airtimes offered to the 24 political parties and one alliance. Based on that, starting from April 10, during the entire campaign the total duration of the free airtime will be 2 minutes, while the duration for the foreseen 3 minutes of paid airtime will go up to 8 minutes starting from April 25. The political parties nominated in the proportional electoral system and the alliance will have 60 minutes of free airtime and 120 minutes paid airtime for their campaigns every day from 5:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In the case of exceeding that limit, the airtime will continue after the “HyeLur” (Armenian News) news broadcast. For radio hours, the political parties and alliance will have 120 free minutes and 180 paid minutes every day during the time slots of 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. In fact, the “Dashink”, “National Unity” and the ARF will kick off the first campaign on April 10.
