Several days ago a number of farmers from Ararat region organized a strike near the government building connected with the activities of the owner of “Ararat cannery factory”, Tigran Nersisyan. It is worth mentioning that Nersisyan is famous for his nickname “Borodino” and is a businessman from Russia. “Borodino” has an office in Yerevan too, but no one answers its calls. To note, in autumn “Borodino” bought tomatoes from farmers at wholesale prices (24 AMD for one kilo), but didn’t pay. However, he paid his debts after the strike (the debt sums $200k). We were told by the regional management board of Ararat region that Tigran Nersisyan had covered all his debts to the farmers and the factory.
