Serge Sargsyan appointed prime minister

Yesterday president Kocharyan dismissed Serge Sargsyan from the defense minister’s position and appointed him as prime minister. By another order president Kocharyan dismissed Serge Sargsyan from the secretary’s position of the National Security Council adjacent to the president. Today R. Kocharyan will hold a governmental session, where he will present the new prime minister. According to our information, the head of the Central headquarter of the army, RA defense deputy minister colonel-general Michael Harutyunyan, will be in charge of the defense minister’s responsibilities until the presidential elections.
