24+1- going to struggle

08/04/2007

The Central Election Commission registered the proportional electoral lists of 24 political parties and 1 from “Alliance” on Wednesday. Based on that, the “Dashink” political party will not participate with its list of 47 candidates, but rather 38. Let us recall that nine members of “Dashink” had not presented the necessary documents to the CEC before the deadline, based on different reasons.

During the Wednesday session, the CEC denied the observer accreditation applications sent by the “Scarp” health care center and the “Syunats Ashkharh” NGO. According to the president of the CEC, their charters don’t mention anything about “involvement in issues concerning democracy and human rights”.
