Thirty-three of the 174 people who filled in applications to participate in the majority system elections on May 12 did not present their registration documents to the Central Election Committee on Wednesday. Two people from the “Country of Law” party and three people from the Armenian National Movement have refused to participate. Only one person from the “Prosperous Armenia” party refused to take part in the majority system elections. Liberation soldier Manvel Yeghiazaryan from the 13th precinct did not present any documents to the Central Election Committee and the struggle will be between Republican Armen Purtoyan and Edward Madatyan, who is under persecution. They will compete in a precinct which promises to secure a heated struggle. Recently, leader of “Dashink” Samvel Babayan informed about a challenge and according to the deputy leader of the party, “Dashink” is going to go all the way and nothing will stop them. Let us recall that Babayan was nominated in the 37th precinct where Defense Minister Serge’s Sargsyan’s brother, Alexander Sargsyan, is also nominated.
