Archbishop Mesrop Mutafyan of the Armenian Patriarch of Turkey is of the opinion that the approval of the Armenian Genocide recognition bill in U.S. Congress “will not benefit anyone”. The spiritual leader of the Turkish-Armenians told “Anatolia” agency that “it makes no sense to take any steps that may have a negative influence on the dialogue between the two nations.”
